By selecting merge on a virtual item, you will be prompted to place items on four empty boxes.

• The 1st item is located at the top and is the item that will be upgraded.
• The other 3 below will be destroyed during the merging process.

You can’t use different types of items in the merging process. For example, merging a shield means you require 3 other shields. Merging a staff requires 3 other staves.

To enhance a (+1) item and turn it into a (+2) item you need four (+1) items of the same type, and so on.

Be careful when picking the main item that's on top because that's the one you'll upgrade. Using a +1 item to enhance a +0 item will only net you a +1 item and not a +2.

Make sure that you unequip your items from your heroes if that's what you want to enhance. Items don't show up on your inventory if they are equipped.
